Hi, I’m Gabriella Gonzaga.

But more importantly, I’m Sara’s mom.

When my daughter was born, I left the hospital with painful nipples and every time my baby tried to latch, the pain was unbearable. What should have been a bonding moment felt like torture. I cried more times than I can count, wondering why something so natural seemed impossible for me.

So I started pumping.

Every 2–3 hours.
Day and night.
For three exhausting months.

My baby began refusing the breast and would only take the bottle. My milk supply started dropping. I developed mastitis. I felt exhausted, overwhelmed, and completely defeated.

I spent thousands on lactation consultants, books, and online programs searching for answers.

But no one could truly solve the problem.

So I decided to start studying everything I could about breastfeeding, milk supply, and nipple confusion. I tested different approaches, learned through trial and error, and slowly began to understand what was really happening.

After few weeks that felt like a nightmare, something incredible happened.

My baby latched again.

Little by little, we transitioned back to the breast… until we reached exclusive breastfeeding, no formula and no more middle-of-the-night pumping.

That journey became the foundation of this guide.

I’m not a lactation consultant, and this is not medical advice. I’m simply a mother who went through one of the most painful and confusing breastfeeding journeys imaginable and eventually found a way through it.
